How can I access up-to-date coastal property market information?

Great Ocean Properties can provide you with a market update via a monthly e-bulletin. All you need to do is register your email address on the home page. You can also register for a weekly new listing update if you wish.

What subjects do you cover in your monthly e-bulletins?

The last thing we intend to send you is spam. Six times a year we will be discussing different subjects that effect coastal property and its inhabitants. As we have access to a network of estate agencies that specialise in oceanside property we will be reporting their experiences as well as ours. There will be statistical information and market trends as well as opinions from different parties around the country that we feel are relevant to coastal real estate.

What about your weekly email updates?

This update is mainly for people looking to buy, although there are many people who like to receive it just to keep an eye on what is for sale. It has new and featured listings plus links to our current E-Magazine. It is very popular.

What are the current rules for the public auction of land?

Under the Sale of Land Regulations 2005, the general rules for the conduct of public auctions of land are: 1. The auctioneer may make one or more bids on behalf of the vendor of the land at any time during the auction. 2. The auctioneer may refuse any bid. 3. The auctioneer may determine the amount by which the bidding is to be advanced. 4. The auctioneer may withdraw the property from sale at any time. 5. The auctioneer may refer a bid to the vendor at any time before the conclusion of the auction. 6. In the event of a dispute concerning a bid, the auctioneer may resubmit the property for sale at the last undisputed bid or start the bidding again. 7. If a reserve price has been set for the property and the property is passed in below that reserve price, the vendor will first negotiate with the highest bidder for the purchase of the property.
